deadhead redux
Deadhead: Redux.
Collaboration with Nathan and Jim Bomford, produced by Open Space Gallery and Ministry of Casual Living, Victoria, 2016.
The Deadhead Redux project consisted of an installation made up of salvaged materials from the original Deadhead project re-configured and mounted to the back of a Ford F450. The project was conceived of as a follow up to some of the ideas surrounding resource extraction and commodity movement developed in the Deadhead and The Claim exhibitions. The truck was on display as part of the DIY Fair organized by Open Space Gallery and the Ministry for Casual Living at the Fisherman’s Wharf as well as a separate event at the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria in the summer of 2016.
